LE GRÉZIER

Period of Hire
Rental commences at 4pm on the day of arrival and terminates at 10 am on the day of departure.  This is important, as time is required for change-over before the arrival of the next guests.

Occupancy
The maximum number of people to reside in the property must not exceed the advertised capacity.  In addition to the maximum occupancy, one cot will be made available on request.  The property may be used only for personal and domestic purposes and not for any commercial purpose.

Smoking
We operate a strict non-smoking policy in the house.

Pets
Sorry, we do not accept pets. 

Contract
All prices quoted are per week and are fixed, following the receipt of the initial deposit.  To reserve the property, the Client should complete the booking form and return it, together with the deposit.  Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the Owners will send a confirmation invoice and statement of balance outstanding.  This constitutes formal acceptance of the booking.  The booking may not be transferred to a third party without the express written permission of the Owners and the written acceptance by the new Client of the Terms and Conditions of booking.

Payment
An initial deposit of 20% of the total rental is payable if the booking is made more than 6 weeks before the start of the rental.  The balance, plus a security deposit of £200 is payable no later than 6 weeks before the commencement of the rental.  If payment of the balance is not received by the due date, the Owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled and the initial deposit forfeited.

For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the commencement of the rental, the total fee and the security deposit are payable at the time of booking. 

 Booking form return and payment details will be arranged by phone/email at the time of booking.

 The security deposit of £200 is fully refundable, less any charge for excessive cleaning, breakages or damage caused during the rental period.  The sum reserved shall not limit the Client’s liability to the Owners in the event of serious damage or loss.

The Owners undertake to refund the balance due within 2 weeks from the end of the rental period.

Cancellation
Any cancellation, for whatever reason, should be made in writing to the Owners.  On receipt of the cancellation, the Owners will endeavour to re-let the property for the period of the booking.  If the Owners are able to re-let the property for the whole period of the booking, they shall refund the amount of monies paid at the time of cancellation, less a £20 administration fee. If they are only able to obtain a booking for part of the period cancelled, they shall refund an amount equal to the money paid, less the rental for the period for which the property has not been re-let and less the administration fee detailed above.  If the Owners are unable to re-let the property for any period then no refund shall be due.

Clients are strongly recommended to take out holiday insurance cover to provide for unforeseen circumstances and also to provide full cover for the party’s personal belongings, public liability etc., which are not covered by the Owners’ insurance.

Care of the Property
The Client agrees to take good care of the property and its contents and not to act in any way that causes disturbance to residents in neighbouring properties.  Clients are expected to leave the house in the same condition as they find it, fully cleaned, tidy and ready for the next occupants.

Breakages or Damage
The Client is required to notify the Owners in the case of any breakages or damage to the property or its contents.  The Owners reserve the right to demand full payment for such breakages or damage.

Liability
The Owners will not be liable to the Client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool; for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners;  for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period.  In such event the Owners shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, return to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

Under no circumstances shall the Owners’ liability to the client exceed the amount paid for the rental period.

The use of accommodation and amenities such as the swimming pool is entirely at the users' risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury to any member of a Client’s party, or for loss or damage to a Client’s motor vehicle or belongings.

The swimming pool complies with current French safety legislation.  However, the Client agrees to ensure that all children and non-swimmers shall be supervised by an able-bodied swimmer.

Although every effort will be made by the Owners to ensure that the swimming pool remains in use for the maximum possible period each year, the Owners accept no liability if the pool is out of use because of adverse weather conditions in the early or late season, or at any other period.  The Owners also accept no liability if electrical items and sports equipment provided for the enjoyment of guests become damaged and cannot be repaired or replaced before the arrival of the next guests.

Right of Entry
The Owners reserve the right to enter the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection, or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

Rules and Procedures
Clients are required to familiarize themselves with and observe the rules and procedures contained in the Information Book at Le Grézier.

Use of the Facilities
The facilities at Le Grézier are strictly reserved for the use of clients and their immediate family and friends.  Clients' guests may only use the facilities with the specific approval of the Owners, for which a charge may be made at their discretion.  Any of the on-site facilities may be withdrawn from use by the Owners in the event of any circumstances which make the facilities unsafe or present any risk to health and safety.  The facilities will be withdrawn in the event of any misuse or failure to comply with rules and procedures.

Towels and Bedlinen
All towels and bedlinen are supplied, with the exception of pool towels and, where applicable, cot bedding.

Electricity/Gas
Electricity/gas are included in the price.  In cooler seasons one basket of logs is provided free of charge.  Any further logs may be purchased at a small cost.
