RESTAURANTS

Too many to mention more than a few examples.  The Dordogne is known for its delicious cuisine – duck, foie gras, truffles, walnuts, chestnuts, liqueurs and excellent wine.

The centre of Sarlat has a huge choice of bars and restaurants, serving local dishes, pizzas etc.

Some which are more off the beaten track :

Le Grand Bleu – on the outskirts of Sarlat, fish, seafood and local dishes
La Meynardie – near Salignac – excellent food (on a vine covered terrace in Summer)
L’Hostellerie de Béquignolles – closest to home, 5 mins, Carlux.  Good food in very attractive surroundings.  Lovely terrace in Summer. Very welcoming.
Le Sesame, Ste. Nathalène, 5 mins – Moroccan specialities
Le Café de la Place, Salignac – good value for lunch or lighter meals
